Buy 2 Boxes of Diapers and get a $10 Target Gift Card

Buy 2 boxes of Pampers, Huggies Giant Pack or 2 Up&Up (Target brand) Bulk packs and you will get a $10 Target gift card.

I wouldn't buy Pampers or Huggies diapers from Target since they are overpriced there, but my family uses Up &Up diapers and this a good price for these diapers.

After all the discounts, it comes out to about $0.15 per diaper for size 3.  I usually get about another 7-9% off the purchase price - See Maximize Spending at Target - which gets the price down to about 13-14 cents per diaper.

Save 14.5%+ at Target - Plastic Jungle

Update - Plastic jungle has shut down.  There are other alternatives, such as cardpool.com which still give you some cash back through top cashback.  The savings on the gift cards are not as good as what was offered from plastic jungle.  Please check out giftcardgranny.com to see if there are currently any sites offering better deals.

I love good generic brands.  If you can buy basically the same product for cheaper, what's better than that?

Therefore, my wife and I use lots of Targets products, especially Target Up and Up Diapers instead of Pampers because we find them to be just as effective and they are much cheaper than Pampers.

Save 14.5%+ at Target

It's possible to save as much as 15.5% off the price of every product sold at Target.com with free shipping to boot.  This will work with many stores, but not usually this much cashback at a store most people use.

Here's how it goes:

  • 2.5% - Go to Top Cashback and from there to plasticjungle.com which is a site that sells gift cards at a discount.  Whatever you spend at Plastic Jungle will earn 2.5% to your Top Cashback account.
    • If there are no gift cards that suit your need from Plastic Jungle, you can do the same thing from Cardpool.com, but you will only get 2% back into Top Cashback instead of 2.5%

  • 8.5% - Plastic Jungle sells Target eGift cards at a 6% discount, which combined with your 2.5% gets you to 8.5%.
    1. Make sure you buy an eGift card so that your gift card will be ready within minutes.
    2. Also make sure to buy a gift card that is less money than the total you want to spend.  For example, if you are spending $26 at Target, buy a $25 gift card.  This means you will use up your entire gift card and enables you to save another 5% through step 4.

  • 10.5% - Buy your gift cards with your Fidelity American Express for another 2% back on every purchase.  You will need to buy it through Paypal because Plastic Jungle doesn't accept American Express directly.  If you don't have a Fidelity American Express and you don't want one, you will only get 1% back at this stage or whatever your credit card gives you.

  • 15.5% and Free Shipping - Use a Target Card to pay for the remainder of your purchase. As long as you are spending some money on your Target Card, you will get Free Shipping with no minimum and you will still get 5% off the entire purchase!
    1. You don't need a Target Credit Card, a Target Debit Card will work too

Target - Great Customer Service

At this point, most companies will do just about anything to keep their good names and customers.

My family uses Target Up and Up Diapers and we couldn't be happier with the diapers (make sure to use your Target RED card to get 5% off and free shipping with no minimums).  They are cheaper than Pampers, just as good and come with free shipping so we never have to go to the store.

The other week, one of the diapers leaked.  It was the first time in a while, but it did leak so I thought I would let Target know.

I sent an email saying that I am a repeat Target customer and one of the diapers seems to have been defective, is there any way Target could compensate me?  I never told them I wouldn't buy Target anymore because that isn't true, but I did ask for something.

I just got a reply that says:

hello Oren,

I'm sorry that up&up Baby Diapers - Bulk Pack you purchased from Target.com are defective.

We want to make sure that you enjoy your Target.com shopping experience and love the products you buy from us. If you’d like to return the item for a refund if they are unused, visit Target.com and click Return an Item in the Help menu near the bottom of the page to get started.

If you'd rather keep the item as is, respond to this e-mail to let me know and I'll process a 10% of item price credit back to your credit card.

Thanks for getting in touch. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help work this out.

The diapers don't cost that much to begin with so I will only be a getting a few dollars back, but it is more than nothing and only took me a minute to write the email.

Remember, if you don't ask, you won't get anything.

Target Brand Diapers (Up & Up) - Alternative to Pampers

For the past 6 months or so, my wife and I have been using Target Brand (Up & Up) Diapers -  and we haven't looked back.  We used to be BJ's members for pampers diapers, but we decided to give Target a shot and not have to pay the membership fee at BJ's.

I have many friends who use Target Brand Diapers and they haven't noticed any difference between them and Pampers.

In addition to the price difference, here are some suggestions on how to buy them

  • Get Yourself a Target Red Card (credit or debit card)
  • Save a Trip - Buy Your Diapers Online
    • Free shipping with your Target Red Card - no minimum purchase necessary
    • Same price online as in the store
    • Even if you have no Target near you, you can still use their diapers if you buy online
  • If you have to go to Target anyway, get a $1 in store only coupon

Anyone have any experience with Target diapers they want to share?  What about other discount brands?  Please share in the Comments section.
