$10 AMEX Express Checkout Credits from Cancelled Newegg Purchases Not Posting - Time to Buy More Game Codes

Last week, Newegg cancelled many people's purchases, including many of my own purchases.

I was checking my American Express accounts this morning for the Best Buy offers and I saw that the Ticketmaster credits posted.  Hurrah!

The Newegg purchases that were cancelled unfortunately did not post.  I was hopeful that the credits might post anyways, but it looks like I was wrong.

I made a purchase from Newegg for every card.  I made the purchases for Newegg on the 14th and the purchases for TicketMaster on the 15th.

I did receive the $10 credit when I purchased a game code since the order was not cancelled.

I like that every purchase has a credit associated with it!

Ok, time to go back and buy lots of $0.40 game codes.  That's annoying.  Let's hope that the credits will post even though it isn't our first time using AMEX Express Checkout anymore.

Ticketmaster $1 Donations Back - No More AMEX Express Checkout on Ticketmaster!

HT - Heather

Update: As many have pointed out, you can still use AMEX Express checkout but it won't work for the donation pages.  More or less useless for us. :(

There is good news but mostly bad news.

$1 donations on Ticketmaster are back which should mean $9 for free for every American Express card.

The problem is that AMEX Express Checkout has been removed as an option for payout throughout the Ticketmaster site!

We broke it!

Hopefully it is just a glitch and it will come back, but we'll see.

This is a Ticketmaster issue specifically.  AMEX Express Checkout is still there on Newegg.

AMEX Express Checkout - Newegg Cancel your $0.30 Item? Don't Worry, Yet

The last 2 days have been amazing for American Express cardholders.

With the introduction of AMEX Express Checkout, AMEX was giving out $10 per AMEX card at a number of merchants.

Newegg and Ticketmaster were real moneymakers.

Trouble hit this afternoon with a slew of cancellations from Newegg.  It seems that the seller didn't do a great job of monitoring their inventory and decided to cancel lots of orders.

It's interesting that the email says that the customer decided to cancel, which I and others most certainly did not.

Now that orders are cancelled, the question is whether the credits will come through.  My prediction is that the credits will come through anyways.  I can't say that for sure but there is nothing to lose here.  Let's wait a week, see if the credits post.  If they don't, we can all go back and buy game codes for $0.40 which don't run out.

I would also recommend contacting newegg customer service asking why it says the orders were cancelled when you didn't cancel the orders.
