One Crazy Day of MS Activities...

Today was a majorly hectic day for Manufactured Spend activities for me.

• It all started with this post from Doctor of Credit.  eBay was offering 20% off any item with a maximum discount of $80.
• I tried to buy eBay gift cards, but PayPal hates me, sometimes.  I wasn't able to buy anything sold by PayPal.  Instead I bought $400 of Staples gift cards sold by Gift Card Mall for $330.32 which is 17.4% off because of shipping fees.  
• I also earned $6.60 in eBay Bucks and $3.63 from Top Cashback.  That was a great start to the day!
• The deal went dead before I could post about it.  It came back again, but died very quickly again

Today was a Great Day of Deals....

There were a bunch of great deals that came out today.  Here are the highlights:

• Big Habitat - Staples went a little crazy today trying to sell their wares for as little as possible - 25% Rewards Coupon available all week and $240 of eGift cards for $200 via Cashstar.  $200 card arrives immediately, $40 of promo cards only arrive on 6/21/2015.
• Chase Ink won't give you 5x for buying the cards since it isn't sold directly from Staples.  I used my newly minted NBA card, hopefully I will get 5% cashback, assuming they pay out for online purchases.
• Top Cashback should be paying 2% for cashstar purchases, but they direct you to one specific gift card site. I clicked on "Powered by Cashstar" on the bottom and go to the regular site from there.  Hopefully, I get an extra 2%.  If I don't, no biggie.

In my area (Teaneck, NJ), there is a Stop and Shop that is loaded with plenty of $500 Visa Gift Cards and they let you use a credit card.  The maximum savings you can get off one fillup is $2.20 a gallon in my area.  That means you are basically getting a free tank of gas.


You need to hand your Stop & Shop card to the attendant before your gas is pumped to make sure you get the discount.  I have never personally redeemed fuel rewards but according to the Store Locator function, the Shell station on Cedar Lane should allow for redemptions.  That being said, I know that they do not allow for Fuel Rewards Network redemptions so you may have to go to a Shell Station on Route 4 or in Hackensack.
